Authors Guidelines

Submission Requirements & Publication Standards

The Global Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research welcomes high-quality case reports that contribute to the advancement of medical and biomedical sciences. Following these guidelines ensures a smooth submission process and enhances the chances of successful publication.

Manuscript Structure

All manuscripts should follow the structure below:

Title Page

  • Title: Concise and informative.
  • Author Information: Full names, affiliations, contact details, corresponding author identified.
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.
  • Conflict of Interest Statement: Declare any conflicts.

Abstract

  • 150–250 word summary including:
    • Background
    • Patient presentation and management
    • Outcome and significance

Introduction

  • Provide background and explain clinical relevance or uniqueness.

Case Presentation

  • Patient Information: Age, gender, medical history.
  • Diagnostic Assessments: Labs, imaging, diagnostic process.
  • Intervention & Treatment: Procedures performed and rationale.
  • Outcome & Follow-up: Final results and complications.

Discussion

  • Interpret findings in context of existing literature.
  • Highlight novelty and clinical implications.

Conclusion

  • Summarize key insights and recommendations.

References

  • Numbered consecutively and formatted according to journal style.

Figures and Tables

  • Numbered with descriptive legends.
  • Remove all identifying patient information.

Ethical Requirements

  • Informed Consent: Written consent required.
  • Ethical Approval: Required where applicable.
  • Patient Confidentiality: Anonymize all data.

Authorship and Contributions

  • Substantial contribution required.
  • Include Author Contributions statement.
  • Acknowledge non-author contributors.

Conflict of Interest and Funding

  • Disclose all conflicts.
  • State funding sources or declare none.

Review and Decision Process

  • Double-blind peer review.
  • Revision required if requested.
  • Final decision by editorial board.

Copyright and License

  • Copyright transfer upon acceptance.

  • Authors receive proofs for correction.
