Preparation & Submission Requirements

The Global Journal of Surgery and Surgical Research is dedicated to publishing high-quality case reports that contribute to the advancement of medical and biomedical knowledge. Authors are expected to follow these manuscript preparation guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

1. General Requirements

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, grammatically correct English.
  • Manuscript Format: Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), 12-point font, 1.5 spacing, 1-inch margins.
  • Sections:
    1. Title Page
    2. Abstract
    3. Keywords
    4. Introduction
    5. Case Presentation
    6. Discussion
    7. Conclusion
    8. References
    9. Figures and Tables (if applicable)

2. Manuscript Components

Title Page

  • Title: Clear, concise, and informative.
  • Author Information: Full names, affiliations, email of corresponding author.
  • Corresponding Author: Clearly identified.
  • Conflict of Interest: Disclosure statement required.

Abstract

  • 150–250 words structured summary including:
    • Background
    • Case Presentation
    • Conclusion

Keywords

  • Provide 3–5 indexing keywords.

Introduction

Provide background information and explain the case’s uniqueness or contribution to existing knowledge.

Case Presentation

  • Patient Information
  • Clinical Findings
  • Therapeutic Interventions
  • Outcome and Follow-Up

Discussion

Interpret findings, compare with literature, and highlight clinical relevance.

Conclusion

Summarize key insights and potential implications.

References

  • Number consecutively in text order.
  • Follow Vancouver or APA style.

Figures and Tables

  • Figures: 300 dpi resolution, numbered, with legends.
  • Tables: Self-explanatory, titled, numbered.

3. Ethical Considerations

  • Informed Consent: Required and stated.
  • Ethical Approval: Include IRB approval statement if applicable.
  • Patient Confidentiality: Maintain anonymity.

4. Authorship and Contributions

  • Authorship Criteria: Significant contribution required.
  • Acknowledgments: Mention non-author contributors.
  • Author Contribution Statement: Specify roles.

5. Conflict of Interest and Funding

  • Conflict Disclosure: Mandatory for all authors.
  • Funding Disclosure: Acknowledge funding sources.

6. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Upload all required files.
  • Cover Letter: Explain significance and originality.
  • Plagiarism Check: All submissions screened.
